Oily tips to survive the festive season

Are you getting a little bit frantic about Christmas? Do you need a some guidance on how to keep calm and survive the festive season?  I’d love to share my Christmas essential oil tips with you in the hope that you can have yourself a very merry Christmas – stress free and happy!

If so, you’re not alone! While I can’t solve all of these with these Christmas essential oil tips, I can give you some oily hacks that can help you survive them and come out the other side smiling and relatively intact.

Which dōTERRA essential oils can help?

How to build emotional protection

For those of you who feel your personal space comprised in crowded situations (hello, Boxing Day sales!), our oils can assist to build emotional protection.

Tea Tree – The Oil of Energetic Boundaries

If you have a patterns of worry and panic, Tea Tree interrupts this and scratches it. It removes “energetic hooks” – people who get their hooks into you; emotional parasites. It helps create boundaries and protection.

On Guard – The Oil of Protection

On Guard is helpful for strengthening the inner self along with the resolve to stand up for oneself. It is also great to apply before heading to places where your personal space may be compromised.

Tea Tree and On Guard will help you build emotional boundaries. Apply On Guard to your solar plexus each day for 3 weeks to build emotional protection. You can use the On Guard Touch for this, or diluted On Guard.

Looking after your gut at Christmas

Our gut is one of our three brains so you really need to take care of it! Here’s a few ways you can look after your gut health in the festive season:

Oily Hangover Hacks

Hangovers are a bitch at the best of times, and even more so at Christmas time when you have to go out and adult socially. Here’s a few oily hacks to beat that nasty hangover.

Smart and Sassy, the metabolic blend

This powerhouse blend works best when taken before bed in a big glass of water, and then again in the morning. A few drops in a glass of water will do. This is my number one pick for hangover remedies.

Grapefruit essential oil

Grapefruit mentally uplifting and refreshing, rich in antioxidants which help boost an immune system depleted by drinking. Grapefruit is also well known for treating migraines – apply directly to the temples and forehead.

Juniper essential oil

Juniper is known for its detoxifying and cleansing properties, however, it can also help to clear and stimulate the mind. Apply Juniper with a carrier oil to the soles of your feet to assist with cleansing.
